I don’t charge clients if life happens and they can’t make a session. That being said, clients that book sessions and cancel but also cancel excessively will not be welcome to book with us in the future. The term “excessively” is relative. The booking software monitors this and will automatically cancel future sessions of a client it deems problematic for the schedule. This is an algorithm that takes in frequency of bookings, cancellations, and over a compressed or wide period of time. This is the solution I have found best for my practice to cater to serious clients and respectfully prune those not compatible with our model.
